New Moon in Gemini

This New Moon in Gemini provides a pretty playful window of transcendent opportunity. Make yourself a New Moon wishlist that includes some light-hearted approaches to the big shtuff you’re working on. Wordplay and poetry are super-charged magic-making helpers at this time, so please don your creative languaging hat during composition time.

Venus and Mercury are the two fast-moving, communicative bodies that are now bridging the worlds of two world-changing planetary patterns, and igniting them both at once: The Uranus-Pluto square, and the Saturn-Neptune trine

  • The Uranus-Pluto square (2012-2015) is shaking the foundations of established institutions and power structures in our world (outside and in), and amping up the pace of evolution and change. With this New Moon in Gemini, Mercury (Gemini’s ruler) is tightly square to Uranus and opposite to Pluto, creating a T-Square that is destined to bring changes nobody was expecting (maybe little delightful ones!) Cooperate with this energy by reaching out to the revolutionaries, geniuses, and weirdos in your world. Notice unexpected encounters with ideas and strangers that give you glimpses of other curious perspectives. Make a vow to bravely explore some unfamiliar approaches, and also to apply new technologies this month (outside and in).

Note: Mercury in Cancer is in Mutual Reception with the Moon in Gemini. Venus’ ever-loving presence should also help this T-square’s excitement bring positive experiences, provided you can find a little extra spoonful of trust in the big changes that are getting rolling.

  • The trine between Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces is now a Grand Trine in the Water signs with the help of Mercury and Venus. This structure is inviting new (and old) experiences of spiritual presence, and richer emotional understandings of connections- personal and transpersonal. Mercury and Venus are both Out-of-Bounds (higher in the sky than the Sun ever gets) which can conjure unrealistic or impractical perspectives, but those qualities might be helpful at this time. A spiritual renaissance is underway with Neptune in Pisces, and new visions rarely dawn without new perspectives. Get free. Invite some new faith to your plate. How do you pray (in your own original way)? Do that with this Moon, and plan to do it more this month.

Mercury and Venus are the left and right brains of communication and connection, and the messages they bring now are preparing us for Jupiter’s transit of Cancer (enters 6/26) and the much larger changes that will be blossoming in August as he ignites the T-Square with Uranus and Pluto and the Grand Trine with Saturn and Neptune.

Cooperate with this New Moon by putting pen to paper, picking up the phone and dialing, taking brief walks, and talking with more strangers. Gemini’s playful, curiosity-generating energies are key in riding the crazy waves of this energy. Take advantage of good timing (also Gemini’s delight), and write your New Moon wishlist on 6/8. New Moon Wishlist How-To

Venus is now our bright evening star (with Mercury close by, but significantly dimmer). Empower your new wishes by saying hello at the next few sunsets, and watching the waxing sliver of the New Moon dancing with the happy couple (best view on 6/10).

Happy stargazings and springtime blossomings.

Cheers- Adam Wolter

P.S. Big changes in my world- I just moved to Minneapolis, MN. This is my 6th day here, and I’m pretty wired to talk to more strangers- this place is amazing. Wish me luck!
